INFO WHAT IS THE YOUTH COMMITTEE? The Beckwith Township Youth Committee is a group of young children and teens with a common goal of bettering the Community by raising money to be distributed to others and put on Community events with an emphasis on FUN.  By doing this the children gain leadership, parliamentary procedure skills and self-confidence.  The Youth Committee holds monthly dances, a March Melt Down, helps out with the Halloween Party, the Beckwith Heritage Days, Moonlight skating parties, buys gifts for the Angel tree children, puts a float in the Carleton Place Santa Clause Parade, along with many more activities for the children in the community. WHO'S ON THE YOUTH COMMITTEE? DANCES BECKWITH YOUTH COMMITTEE DANCES The Beckwith Youth Committee puts on monthly dances for the Youth of the Community.  If you are interested in getting an e-mail notification when there are upcoming Beckwith Youth Dances or Community Events please send your e-mail address to cmcgregor@twp.beckwith.on.ca. PLEASE NOTE:    When the school buses are cancelled during the day, the dances that night are as well. PRICES Admission $3.00                                                                 Water $1.00 Chips $1.00 Glow Sticks $2.00 The Youth Committee sponsors Family/Youth Dances, on a regular basis, at Brunton Community hall at 1702 9th Line Beckwith. THERE WILL BE DRAWS FOR DOOR PRIZES AT THE YOUTH DANCES! PAST SPONSORSHIPS  Each year the BYC sponsors children to attend the Beckwith Day/Sports Camp Helped the Girl Guides raise money for their trip to the Yukon by allowing them to run     the canteen at the March Melt Down Helped the scouts raise $1000.00 by allowing them to supervise two of the Beckwith    Youth Dances in exchange for the profit    Every year the Committee buys a Christmas present for 4 names on the O.P.P. Angel    Tree Help raise money for the Carleton Place High School Football Team Sponsored a youth from the community to participate in the "Tall Ship Millennium    Challenge" Sponsored Local Sports Teams to attend the Provincial Championships Raised money to help off-set cost of the new playground structure at Beckwith Park Sponsored the Beckwith Cheerleaders to attend the Provincial Championships Raised money for the Haiti fund Own the Podium 2010 - Municipal Challenge TOP
